Explore the finest of Southeast Asia in Cambodia, Laos & Vietnam, or Indochina as they are collectively called. Tour the massive, ancient temples of Angkor Wat; experience life on the Mekong River and the Buddhist culture of the UNESCO-protected town of Luang Prabang; eat your way around Hanoi, the 1000-year-old city; and explore the majesty of Halong Bay from a private boat. This trip will introduce adventurous, curious travelers to the time-honored traditions, temples and food in these three diverse countries with the comfort and convenience of traveling by plane between destinations.

Begin in Siem Reap, Cambodia, the nearest town to the temples of Angkor. First visit the largest geographical feature of Cambodia, Tonle Sap Lake, and meet the people who make their livings on the floating homes around the lake. Then venture to the magical temples of Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom to learn about the rich and varied Hindu and Buddhist history of these temples which were constructed beginning in the 12th century.

In Luang Prabang, Laos, you will immediately notice the slower pace of life, the quaint town and the welcoming Laotian people. Explore the city by food, tuk tuk, car and boat as you experience the highlights of this town that National Geographic Traveler calls the ”jewel of Asia.” Learn to cook the local dishes and savor the wonderful flavors; tour the mysterious Pak Ou Caves and enjoy a boat ride on the Mekong River; and learn the techniques of rice farming; spend time wandering through the night market looking for treasures; and try your hand at the local national pastime of petanque.

In Vietnam surrender to the beautiful chaos that will fill your senses with joy and wonder! Hanoi is called the “Paris of the Orient” is the cultural capital of this country…home to unique arts, crafts, foods, museums and traditions. Then venture out to the coast to cruise for a night on Halong Bay, experiencing the beauty and majesty of this absolutely unique landscape.
