The Emirates Palace– A Luxury Hotel
The Emirates Palace
Where is my pumpkin carriage? It was the only thing missing from this Palace fantasy. Oh, and the glass slippers. From the moment we entered the Palace gates and drove up to the entrance, we felt a regal presence.
You feel like royalty as you enter the gold gilded grand foyer and then greeted with local hospitality as you are offered a delicious cup of Arabic coffee in the finest china. We had arrived at one of the world’s most majestic and opulent hotels, the Emirates Palace located on the Corniche East in Abu Dhabi.
Khuriam Kazmi, Front Desk Manager, welcomed us saying, “The Emirates Palace prides itself in offering exceptional services that a luxury traveler expects. Our commitment is to ensure that your time is an unforgettable and unique experience.”
Luxury Hotel Amenities
It’s true, everything about this Palace is unforgettable! You can’t leave Abu Dhabi without a visit to the Emirates Palace. An iconic Abu Dhabi landmark, this luxurious hotel shines with Arabian regal splendor. At a price tag of $3 billion USD, it is an impressive structure generously decorated with precious materials of gold, mother of pearls, crystal, and marble. The main building is a half mile from end to end with 114 domes, and 1,002 chandeliers, 13,000 sq. ft. of gold leaf on the Palace walls, and 2 handmade carpets that hang on Palace Walls, each weighing a ton!
Mohammed Alaoui, Communications Manager, escorted us on the GRAND tour of the Palace, and showed us one of the 92 exclusive executive suites. Each Royal Suite has 3 bedrooms with one living room and one dining room, and the finest of furnishings. Mohammed tells us about The “Palace Ceremony” that ensures an opulent in-room dining experience where, “you are served, waited on and pampered, in the privacy of your own room or suite whilst you dine on gourmet dishes specially prepared for your palatable pleasure.”
The other 302 grand rooms at the Palace are just as lovely and our personal butler was available for us at the touch of a button. Fresh flower bouquets are in each room. If you would rather relax at the Palace spa, check in at the Anantara spa. The spa is decorated with an exotic blend of Moroccan-inspired interiors, domes and graceful archways, and delicate Thai-style furnishings. We heard the half day spa Signature Journeys such as ‘Gateway to Arabia’ and ‘Route to Ayudhaya’ are incredible!
Activities by the Hotel
Or you can enjoy many activities like tennis, beach volleyball, mountain bikes, waterski or snorkel the warm waters of the Arabian Gulf along the 1 mile private beach. We took a swim at the two swimming pools, and a quick workout at the fitness center.
Our butler, Dipak Kumar, helped us decide on which restaurant to dine at, he said, “Emirates Palace presents an exquisite selection of dining, serving a variety of the world finest cuisine crafted by our international culinary experts. There are a variety of superb restaurants and lounges, offering an extensive choice of authentic cuisines and alfresco dining along the poolside on the East and West wings.”

We dined at Mezlai, Abu Dhabi’s first Emirati restaurant satisfied all the senses. It was a perfect luxury experience to add to our stay at Emirates Palace. Under our cabana, we indulged in the delights of Middle Eastern cuisine. The warm breeze, flowing fountains, and twinkling skies added to the essence of a magical evening of dining. The next morning, we went to Le Vendôme, where we enjoyed breakfast at an outdoor terrace setting similar to the Le Vendôme in Paris.
“Let us take you wherever you want to go, whenever your heart desires…”
And Emirates Palace did. We felt like Cinderella and our Palace fantasy came true!
